A Critical Review of Judicial Professionals Working Conditions’ Studies

The article presents a comprehensive critical review of the empirical literature on judges and public prosecutors’ working conditions in different disciplinary areas from last 40 years, identifying studies’ characteristics key results. Although judicial professionals are recognised as having highly demanding environment one groups most vulnerable to occupational stress, studies this subject scarce relatively new. These can be divided into two distinct categories: psychology research centred psychosocial risks professional stress burnout; field sociology law questions such job satisfaction organisation work. This aims highlight increasing importance pursuing responsible for delivering justice with quality guarantees all citizens. Without proper high-quality probability increases malfunctioning system poor decisions.
